Description
The Coach House on West Street is a house that was converted from the coach house of The Manor House in the 18th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, with Ham stone dressings and features a hipped Welsh slate roof. The building is designed in a French style and is single-storey with an attic, consisting of five bays. The central bay has a slightly projecting gable that is faced with ashlar and features a pediment.
The second and fourth bays contain cruciform mullioned and transomed windows set within architraves. The first and fifth bays have pairs of half-glazed doors within wide keystoned architraves, topped with moulded rectangular stone panels. The central bay has a wide segmental arch with an architrave and triple keystone, which is now filled with a central ashlar pier and two pairs of half-glazed doors. Above this, in the pediment, is a radial glazed semi-circular window, along with a single rooflight located to the west of the pediment. The interior has not been seen.
