Description

5 and 7 South Street are a pair of buildings that were rebuilt in the early 19th century, retaining their original frontages. The buildings are two storeys high and constructed of painted brick. They have three windows on each floor, with sash windows containing thin glazing bars. Modern shop fronts now occupy the ground floor. The buildings are listed for group value, meaning they contribute to the character of a group of buildings, in this case, alongside Nos 1 to 13 (odd) South Street and No 2 High Street.
