Description

No. 4 South Street is a two-storey building from the 18th century or early 19th century, featuring a painted brick front and a slate roof. The façade includes two windows with rusticated lintels and sashes that have thin glazing bars. The early 19th-century shop front is notable for its round-headed glazing divisions, Doric columns, and a triangular cornice above the door. This building, along with No. 2, forms a group with the Midland Bank on Fore Street.
