Description

This is a chest tomb located about 13 metres south of the porch of the Church of St Nicholas in Dinnington. It dates from the 17th century but was reused in the early 19th century. The tomb is made of Ham stone and features a moulded plinth with plain ends and flanks, along with cavetto coving on the flat top. The original 17th-century inscriptions are no longer visible, but there is a partly legible inscription on the north flank that includes a death date of 1808, although the name is unreadable.
