Description
Ivor Cottage is a Grade II listed building located on Tower Lane. It appears to be primarily a late 17th-century brick structure, possibly originally used as a mill, and has undergone significant alterations. The building is L-shaped, featuring a gabled wing that projects forward on the left side. It stands two storeys high with an attic in the gable, and is finished in roughcast and whitewash. The roof is covered with pantiles and has decorative bargeboards.
On the right side, there are three-light casements, some of which include glazing bars and diamond leading. To the left, there is a variety of diamond leaded casements. An oval window and a six-panel door are situated at the angle of the building. The gable end that overlooks the river has a cob base with timber framing that jetties out above. Ivor Cottage forms a group with Ivor House.
