Description

An 18th-century farmhouse situated in Kingsbury Episcopi. The farmhouse is constructed of ashlar, brick, and rendered materials, with ashlar and brick stacks and hipped slate roofs. The building is arranged in two sections, with the right-hand section projecting forward and set square on plan. The front features 12-pane sash windows on the first floor and transomed French windows with marginal glazing bars on the ground floor; louvred shutters are also present. A 6-panelled door, with the top four panels glazed and a transom light, is positioned beneath a Tuscan portico. A three-bay wing is set back to the left, and features 2-light stone mullioned windows, each light with glazing bars to wood casements. The interior is noted as being of interest.
