Description

Brierly Cottage is a cottage that was once used as dwellings, dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of rubble, with some coursed and square stone, and brick, featuring brick stacks and a thatched roof. The building is single storey with an attic and has three bays, each with three-light 19th century casement windows that include horizontal glazing bars. To the left of the cottage is a door opening with a plank door, which is sheltered by a tiled portico supported by rustic posts. There are four stone steps leading up to the door, and adjacent to it is a 19th century pump with a bowl. Additionally, there is a single-storeyed thatched outshut added in the late 20th century to the left of the main structure.
