Description
This is a churchyard cross located about 18 meters southeast of the chancel of the Church of St Peter. It dates from the 14th century and was largely rebuilt around 1894 when the church was restored. The cross is made of Ham stone and features an original two-stage calvary. The upper stage has a dripstone and an oblong socket with a chamfered plinth. The shaft and cross are from the 19th century, with a tapering shaft that has filleted corners. It includes angel abaci that carry three crocketed niches topped with crocketing. The niches contain carved figures representing the Crucifixion, the Virgin, and St Peter.
