Description
Redland Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse constructed from local lias stone that has been cut and squared. It features a mansard roof covered with clay pantiles and has coped gables, along with brick chimney stacks at each end. The building is two storeys high with an attic and has a two-bay south elevation. The south side includes 16-pane sash windows with flat voussoired heads and keystones, with the lower bay converted into French doors. The west gable has an early 20th-century entrance door set in a deep plain recess, with modern casements above at both levels. There is an outshut at the rear. This farmhouse presents an unusual architectural pattern for its date in Somerset, according to an unpublished report from 1982.
