Description
The walls with gate piers and gates fronting Nos 27, 28, and 29 in Ilminster date from the early to mid-19th century. They are constructed of limestone rubble with Ham Hill stone coping and gate piers. The wall connects to No. 29 on the far right at first-floor level and curves forward, flanking the steps to The Vicarage and meeting the gate pier of The Vicarage. It continues at a slightly lower level along the front, extending westward for approximately 40 meters. At the center of the wall, there are two gate piers.
