4/17 The Stables and Stable yard wall 15 metres North of The Cypress House

GV II Stables. Circa 1850. Ashlared pecked local stone with Ham stone dressings; Welsh slate roof between coped gables, with matching pediments to flanks, one stone and one rendered brick end stacks. 2-storeys of 3-bays, with one storey hipped roofed wings to either side. Segmental voussoired keystoned arched doorway, with semi- circular headed loft door over central door: balanced stable doors and flanking sidelights to each side wing. Flat coped stable yard walls to match about 2.25 metres high. A picturesque and complimentary adjunct to The Cypress House (qv).
