Description

The Stables, built around 1850, are made of locally sourced ashlar stone with Ham stone dressings and feature a Welsh slate roof set between coped gables. The building has two storeys with three bays, and there are hipped roof wings on either side. The main entrance includes a segmental arched doorway with a keystone, and above it is a semi-circular loft door. Each side wing has balanced stable doors with flanking sidelights. The stable yard walls are flat and coped, matching the building and standing about 2.25 metres high. This structure serves as a picturesque and complementary addition to The Cypress House nearby.
