Description

This is a derelict cottage located to the rear of No. 14 in Ilminster, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed from limestone rubble and shows signs of having had a thatched roof. The cottage has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high, featuring a two-window range. Timber lintels are present above the central doorway and window openings, with the entrance located in the gable end. Inside, the structure has A-frame trusses with half-round rafters that still have their bark intact, and there are no ceilings or floors remaining.
