Description
The King's Head Inn is a two-storey inn located on the north side of High Street in Coleford. It was rebuilt in 1830 after being consumed by fire, as noted on an incised stone plaque on the first floor. The building is rendered and colourwashed, featuring coped verges and a slate roof with brick ridge stacks. The symmetrical front has five bays, each with 12-pane sash windows set in painted stone architraves and divided by stone mullions. There are two door openings, both with painted stone architraves; one has a transom light and a flush door, while the other features a plank door. A wrought-iron bracket with a signboard is positioned to the left of the frontage.
