Woodhouse Farmhouse And Outbuilding Adjoining To East

Woodhouse Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that has been converted into a dwelling, with an adjoining outbuilding to the east. The farmhouse features roughcast over cob, with gable ends made of painted brick in English garden wall bond, resting on a lias plinth that is returned on the facade. The outbuilding has a similar bond and a triple Roman tile roof, while the main block has a thatched roof and slates at the rear, with brick stacks on the gable ends. The structure consists of two cells and a cross passage with an outshot, and the outbuilding is set back on the right gable end. It is one and a half storeys tall, with three bays and three-light leaded iron casement dormers, some of which have quadrant stays. The ground floor features five-light hollow chamfered Ham stone mullioned windows under hoodmoulds, and there is a central square-headed door with a chamfered frame. The single-storey outbuilding has a square-headed doorway that contains a cider press and is adjacent to the outshot.
