Description
The socket of a former churchyard cross is located in the churchyard adjacent to the south door of Sutton Mallet Church. This structure dates from the 15th century and is made of dressed stone. It has an octagonal shape and features a chamfered upper face with a central mortise for a shaft that is now missing. This is all that remains of the original cross.
