Description
Nos 3 and 4 Church Street are late 17th century buildings that have been altered. They are constructed of painted rubble and stand two storeys tall with two windows featuring modern casements and wooden lintels. The ground floor includes a continuous fascia and two shop windows, flanked by pilaster strips, with a central half-glazed door. The roof is made of pantiles and has a large gabled dormer at the rear. The gable end to the east is timber framed and incorporates the end wall of possibly 16th century houses. No 4 is linked to No 7 by a low three-storey former cottage, which was previously a two-and-a-half storey gable-fronted building. This cottage has garage doors on the ground floor, a three-light ovolo moulded wood mullion window on the first floor, and modern casements on the second floor.
