Description

Orchard Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse with later modifications. It is constructed of local stone, squared and coursed, with dressings of Ham stone. The roof is of plain clay tiles, with coped gables and end chimney stacks. The farmhouse is two storeys high with an attic, and originally had three bays. A central front door is set within a cambered archway. The windows are mullioned, with ovolo mouldings and labels. Above the doorway is a two-light window, with a four-light window below and a three-light window above. Modern casement windows are present on the south gable, along with a square attic light with a label. A similar two-light, hollow-chamfered mullioned window with a label is found in the attic of the north gable. An outshut and extension are attached to the rear.
