Description
This chest tomb, located 1 metre south of the chancel at the Church of St Mary, dates from the mid-17th century and is made of Ham stone. It features bombe sides and rests on a moulded plinth. The inscription frieze has eroded away on all faces except the north side, which reads "day of January anno dommini 1651." The tomb has a flat top adorned with a coat of arms in a cartouche, supported by a demi-tetrahedron. It is an impressive chest tomb situated in a prominent position.
