Description
This is a thatched cottage, reputedly dating from 1637. The original core of the building is an ochre-washed stone structure of two storeys, with a smaller range projecting forward on the left. The thatched roof has overhanging eaves. Three original two-light mullioned windows with rectangular hoodmoulds remain on the first floor, while the rest of the fenestration is modern or restored. An early 19th-century door is set within a thatched porch. A second thatched porch is located on the left-hand wing, and a buttressed wing, with a slate roof and gable-end facing the street, was added in the early 19th century.
