Description

The Grant monument is an altar tomb located in the churchyard, 8 metres southeast of the south transept of the Church of All Saints. It dates from the 19th century and is made of Doulting Stone. The base is buried, and the monument features a cuboid shaft with plain sides that have incised panels with reverse-curve corners. It has a four-gabled top adorned with corner anthemion ornaments. The monument commemorates members of the Grant family, with the earliest recorded death date being 1816, although the inscriptions are badly eroded.
