Description

The building is a warehouse located about 25 metres west of Harpford Bridge Farmhouse, dating from the early to mid-19th century and constructed in two phases. It is made of random rubble local stone with a central butt-joint and features wooden lintels over the openings on the ground floor to the right. Some of the openings have been renewed in brick, and the structure has a slate roof with coped verges. The warehouse is two stories tall, likely with an attic, and is approximately eight bays long, with a cart shed on the right. The fenestration is irregular, featuring unglazed two and three-light openings, with loft doors above the two entrances. There is also a later 20th-century doorway inserted in the end bay to the right. The right gable end has a lean-to roofed cart shed. The warehouse was built in connection with the Grand Western Canal, which is located about 200 metres to the south, overlooking the River Tone. It forms a notable group with Harpford Bridge to the southeast.
