Description

LANGFORD BUDVILLE CP ST12SW HARPFORD 4/38 Warehouse about 25 a west of Harpford Bridge Farmhouse GV II Warehouse Early-mid C19 in 2 builds. Random rubble local stone, central butt-joint, wooden lintels to openings ground floor right, some renewal in brick, slate roof, coped verges. Plan: 2-storey warehouse probably with attic, about 8 bays long with cart shed right. Irregular fenestration, unglazed 2 and 3-light openings with loft doors above the 2 entrances, another inserted C20 doorway end bay right. Lean-to roofed cart shed right gable end. Built in association with the Grand Western Canal which ran about 200 m to the south of the River Tone which the warehouse overlooks. Forms a good group with Harpford Bridge (qv) to south-east.
