Description

Coxley House, also known as The Cottage, is located on Wells Road and is likely from the late 18th century. This two-storey building is constructed of red brick and features a pantile roof with gable-end parapets that have kneelers. The eaves are present, and there are three windows, one of which is blocked, that have slightly segmental heads and ashlar keystones. The windows are sashes set in plain reveals with glazing bars. The central doorway is located beneath a trellised wrought-iron canopy with a coved top and features a six-panel door with a fanlight above. There are extensions to the left of the main building, which are two and one storeys high, also made of red brick with pantile roofs and two wooden-framed casement windows.
