Description
Random Thatch is a house that likely dates from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed from random rubble and features a thatched roof with rubble stacks. The building has a roughly L-shaped plan and stands two storeys high, with a facade that includes two bays, one bay, and another one bay. The windows are primarily 19th-century type renewed casements with two and three lights, set under wooden lintels, except for a three-light wooden-mullioned window from the 17th century located on the ground floor. At the center of the front, there is a full-height semi-circular stair turret that includes a two-light wooden-mullioned window. To the left of the turret, there is a door opening with a plank door and a thatched hood above it.
