Description
The entrance gateway to Halswell House, located next to No. 30 (The Lodge), dates from the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed from rubble and dressed stone. The gateway features two low convex quadrant walls, a square plinth, and coping, which are flanked by square piers that have cornice bands and pyramidal caps. The walls are topped with wrought-iron railings that have curved finials.
