Description
The building known as the Church Rooms to the south of the Church of St John the Baptist consists of two cottages that were likely built in the 15th century and later rebuilt in the early 19th century. It features random rubble construction with dressed quoins, coped verges, and a double Roman tile roof with a brick ridge stack. The structure is two storeys high, with a single-storey frontage to the north. There are two slightly elevated door openings, each framed by chamfered stone surrounds with four-centred heads, and fitted with 19th-century plank doors and leaded transom lights. Additionally, there is a blocked window next to the right door opening, which has two wrought iron saddle bars and a stanchion.
