Description

Two houses, dating from the late 18th century. The Grey House is rough-cast, while Pethers Cottage is rendered, both with slate roofs and decorative ridge tiles. The left side has a coped verge and the remains of a demolished stack. Each house is three storeys and two bays wide, featuring 16-pane sash windows, with the exception of 12-pane sash windows on the second floor. Pethers Cottage has a segmental bow window to the right of its ground floor, containing 16 fixed lights, a faciaboard, and a flat roof. Each house has a door with a 6-panelled design, the top two panels glazed in The Grey House. Above each door is a bracketted arched fanlight, topped with open triangular pediments on brackets.
