Description

The Baptist Church, built in 1833 and enlarged in 1877, features a fine six-window stucco front facing South Street. To the right, there is one window set back between two former small entrances. The church has tall round-headed windows and rusticated pilasters between them. It also boasts very wide eaves supported by brackets. The main entrance is located on the south side and includes a stone Tuscan porch, which has raised lettering displaying the date "1833." Adjoining the church are a burial ground and later Sunday Schools.
