Description

This is a group of five monuments located in the churchyard south of the tower of the Church of St. Martin in Kingsbury Episcopi. The group consists of three chest tombs and two headstones, dating from the 17th century, 18th century, and early 19th century. They are made of dressed stone, with the headstones featuring shaped tops. Among the chest tombs, the two located to the north have minimal decoration, with slab tops that are cavetto-moulded around the lower edges. The chest tomb to the south, dating from the early 19th century, has panelled pilasters and a hipped slab top.
