Description
Chimney Cottage is a priest's house that has been converted into a residential home. It dates from the 16th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of squared rubble and features a double-Roman tiled roof. There is a brick end stack and a leaning dressed stone lateral stack on a two-stage projecting chimney-breast with offsets located in the center of the front.
The cottage is two storeys high and has a layout of one bay on the left and two bays on the right. The windows are a mix of 19th and 20th-century styles, including one, two, and three-light casements with glazing bars. Notably, there is a three-light hollow-moulded stone-mullioned window to the left of the chimney breast, which has square-paned leaded lights and a label with carved stops. The door opening is located at the rear of the building.
