Description
Midney Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse built from local lias stone that has been cut and squared, with Ham stone dressings. It features a plain clay tile roof with stepped coped gables and stone chimney stacks at the ends and in the middle. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a three-bay west elevation. The windows are sash type with 16 panes, set in plain surrounds with voussoired flat heads. There are also a pair of attic casement windows in plain stone surrounds located in a central gabled dormer. The main entrance is a central six-panelled door, framed by a keystoned architraved surround and topped with a flat hood supported by console brackets, accessed by two steps. There is a 20th-century extension on the south gable, which is one storey high and has three bays, including two attic windows in the gable. The interior has not been seen.
