Description

Whiteheads Farmhouse is an early 19th century farmhouse situated on the east side of Main Road in Middlezoy. Constructed of Flemish bond brick, the farmhouse has a bitumenised slate roof and pantiles with coped verges, and end brick stacks. It presents a symmetrical front with a formal arrangement of three bays and two storeys. The windows are 12-pane sashes with stepped voussoirs above. A central door opening features stepped voussoirs, leading to a six-panelled door.

The right return side incorporates coursed and squared lias rubble and has sloping rubble buttresses. An outshut extends to the left, also of two storeys. This section features 2 and 3-light casements with glazing bars, except for a ground floor window to the left, which has thin iron bars. Ground floor windows in the outshut are set within brick voussoirs, while the first-floor windows are placed directly under the eaves.
