Description
The orangery and walled garden at the rear of Ammerdown House were built around 1793 for Thomas Samuel Jolliffe. The orangery is constructed of ashlar stone and features a hipped stone-tiled roof. It is a symmetrical, single-storey structure with five bays, showcasing very large semi-circular head sash windows, except for the French windows in the center that match the overall style. The walled garden is enclosed by a high rubble wall with coping and includes a circular gateway to the north, which is adorned with a wrought-iron gate. Additionally, there is a pool within the garden.
