Description

Westmead Cottage is a 17th-century cottage built from random rubble Doulting stone, featuring a double Roman clay tile gabled roof and two random rubble chimney stacks. The building is two stories high and has a four-window front, with the entrance located beneath the second window. The entrance includes a vertical boarded door framed by a square head moulded door surround, complete with a dripmould and a hollow semi-circular truncated hood. The cottage has two- and three-light moulded stone mullion windows, which are fitted with six-pane casements and typically have dripmoulds above them.
