Description

STATION ROAD 1. 5365 (East Side) Former Great Western Hotel ST 2225 6/390 II GV 2. Opposite the south block of Taunton Station. Long 2 storey mid C19 block. Hipped slate roof. 5 window section to left at entrance comes forward slightly. 15 windows (triple lights over entrance) in moulded surrounds, sashes with glazing bars. 2 doorways to left of centre with pilasters and entablature. Contemporary hood with scrolled brackets and anthemion motifs.

Former Great Western Hotel forms a group with The Wheel Tanner Public House and Taunton Station (South block).
