Description

This building is a cattle byre with a loft above, dating from the 18th century, and has been altered since then, with the gable end refaced in the 19th century. It is constructed of cob, with gable ends that are either wholly or partly rebuilt in chert random rubble, featuring brick dressings. The roof is made of corrugated iron and has a half hipped left gable end. The structure is two storeys high and consists of four bays, supported by three pairs of sling braced collar beam trusses. The facades are partly weather boarded, and there is an internal single storey lateral cob wall that was in poor condition at the time of the survey in March 1985.
