Description
Voxmoor is a farmhouse built in the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. The building is rendered over random rubble and features a steeply pitched slate roof. There is a large brick stack to the left of the entrance and a 19th-century brick stack rising from the eaves on the left side. The farmhouse is L-shaped, entered from the north front, with a wing at the rear. It appears to have originally been designed as a three-cell structure with a central heated room and unheated outer rooms, including a room at the back. The building has one and a half storeys and three bays, with the upper storey unlit on the north front. The outer bays have many-paned casements, and there is a 20th-century window to the left of the entrance, which features a plank door. The interior is relatively unaltered, showcasing step and run-out stops to the beams throughout, a collar beam roof, and through purlins. Voxmoor is notable as a small farmhouse that remains largely unchanged.
