Description
Nos. 10-16 on Friday Street in Minehead are two houses that have been converted into four shops. They date from the late 18th century and feature stucco and painted render over rubblestone. The roofs consist of double-Roman tiles for Nos. 14 and 16 on the left, and slate for Nos. 10 and 12 on the right, with a brick ridge stack on the party wall. The buildings have a double-depth plan and are two storeys high, with each house having a three-window range. The first floors display flat arches above 6/6-pane sash windows set in forward frames. No. 16, located on the left, features a late 18th-century doorcase with a pediment supported by brackets and an incised stucco facade. The shopfronts have been updated in the 20th century. The interiors have not been inspected.
