Description
The gazebo, located about 280 metres north of Standerwick Court, dates from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of rubble and features corner pilasters, a moulded cornice, and a parapet with coping, although the roof is missing. This tall rectangular structure is two storeys high and has a single bay. In the centre of the first floor, there is a narrow semi-circular headed window with a plain stone surround, emphasised imposts, and a keystone, but the glazing is missing. The central door opening is framed by a moulded stone architrave with a broken pediment supported by moulded stone brackets, and the door itself is also missing. There are additional segmental headed openings on each side of the first floor. The gazebo aligns with the stair window of Standerwick Court, creating a picturesque view from the house.
