Description

This is a detached farmhouse dating from the late 18th or early 19th century, situated in North Town, Kingsdon. The farmhouse is constructed of local lias stone, squared and cut, with a plain clay tiled roof punctuated by stepped coped gables and brick chimney stacks. It is two storeys high, with an irregular fenestration of four bays. The upper windows are twelve-pane sash windows with flat, voussoired arched heads, while the lower windows are sixteen-pane sashes. A 20th-century four-panel door is located in the lower bay, set within a plain opening and sheltered by a flat stone hood supported on corbel brackets. An outshut is attached to the rear. The interior has not been inspected.

Behind the farmhouse is a range of farm buildings, consisting of two two-storey structures linked by single-storey sections, all with clay pantiled roofs and stepped coped gables. These buildings feature plain boarded doors, and the first building has been incorporated into the main house.
