Description

This 19th-century culvert features a raised pavement and is located directly next to the frontage of Bridge Farmhouse along the roadside. It is constructed from coursed and squared rubble, with the culvert having a segmental head and rubble voussoirs. There is a secondary similar culvert that is now blocked. The elevated pavement on each side rests on a rubble base and extends for approximately 40 metres, with lias setts forming an elevated causeway that is about 2 metres wide.
