No. 5 North Street is an early 19th-century building with a painted brick front. It stands three storeys high and features a parapet. Each storey has one window; the second floor has a window with a stepped voussoir lintel, while the first floor has a notable three-light sash window under a segmental head, with the centre light being bowed.
