Description

This is a row of three early 19th century buildings on the south side of the High Street. They are three storeys high and have plain stucco facades. A string course runs along the buildings at cornice level, above which there is a parapet. There are five windows in each property. The windows are sash windows set in plain reveals with glazing bars. A wooden bay window with three lights is present on the first floor of number 74, featuring a dentilled cornice and close-set glazing bars. Modern shop fronts have been installed in all three properties. Numbers 70 to 74, along with the Congregational Church, form a group.
