Description
Corner Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that has been altered in the 20th century. It is rendered over random rubble and features a steeply pitched pantiled roof, which has a gable facing the facade and a shallower pitch on a small section of the roof that adjoins No.1 Cross Cottages. There is a rendered stack on the left with a brick top. The cottage is two storeys high and has two bays. It includes three-light leaded casement windows and a six-panel raised and fielded door at the center, which is sheltered by a wooden pentice porch supported by decorative wrought iron brackets. The left return of the building has three bays facing High Street, but only the third bay is part of Corner Cottage. The first floor has a 20th-century window, while the ground floor features a three-light leaded casement. The cottage is primarily listed for its group value with No.1 and No.2 Cross Cottages.
