Description
The Rose and Crown Public House includes a house that dates from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of Flemish-bond brick with stone keystones and cills, topped by a steep-pitched pantile roof featuring a brick stack on the left gable end. The building stands three storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window arrangement on the upper floors. It has a double-depth plan. The windows on the upper floors are 6/6-pane sashes, while the ground floor features wide casements with concrete lintels. The only external entrance is located at the far right, which has a gauged brick arch leading to a tall opening. Inside, the first-floor front room showcases raised-and-fielded panels on the shutters and window seats, along with a coved cornice.
