Description
No. 28 St Mary Street is a shop with a dwelling, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. The building features Flemish bond brickwork that is painted on the front, and it has a hipped pantile roof. It has a long angled plan and stands three storeys tall with a two-window range. All windows have flat arches, with 20th-century windows and a 20th-century shop front below. The curved corner to the right is made of header bricks, and the long right return is angled, extending to a five-window range. On the left side, there are two blind windows on all floors, and a two-storey 20th-century stair extension is located in the angle. The rear upper floor has 3/6-pane sashes, while the lower floor features 6/6-pane sashes. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
