Description
This is a barn located adjacent to the north of Laurel House, with medieval origins and alterations made in the 18th century. It is constructed from coursed lias stone and features a double-Roman tiled roof. The most notable aspect of the barn's front is the central door opening, which is framed by a massive wooden structure with a depressed-arch head and a divided plank door. This elevation also includes a 20th-century door opening and a small window. At the rear, there is a doorway with large plank doors that have strap hinges. Inside, the barn has lias setts and is partially floored to create an attic space. The roof is supported by collar-and-tie beams with windbracing.
