Description

The churchyard cross at the Church of St Andrew dates from the 14th century and is made of red sandstone. It features an octagonal base with a square socket stone, from which an octagonal tapering shaft rises. There is a sculptural niche on the west side that contains a figure, although the head of the shaft is missing. This information is referenced in Pooley's "Old Crosses of Somerset," published in 1877.
