Orangery, now chapel. Early C19. Probably by Richard Carver, Ashlar limestone, shallow pitched slate roof hidden behind crenellated parapet with finials which encircles building, angled stepped buttresses. Rectangular in plan, flat roofed single bay projections South West and North east ends, latter linked to 3 bay service wing. Gothic style. Single storey, 1:5:1 bays; 4-centred arched openings, mullioned and transomed windows with glazing bars, stepped buttresses between each bay, central double doors of similar design to windows. Similar rear elevation. Interior: 5 bay arcade of wooden 4 centred arches, lattice work entablature and clearstorey, also lit at gable ends. (Photograph in NMR).
