Description

Gweynne Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It features a roughcast exterior and a double Roman tile roof, along with brick stacks, including a large external stepped stack on the facade. The building has a three-cell and cross passage plan, is one and a half storeys high, and consists of four bays with irregularly placed windows. The windows are 20th-century casements with one, two, and three lights, and there are three flat-headed dormers. The entrance is located on the rear elevation. Inside, there is a four-centred arch doorway made of timber frame with a brick infill partition to the right. The interior also includes chamfered beams with diamond stops, a chamfered lintel above the fireplace, and a similar chamfered beam with a timber and brick infill screen to the left.
