Description

The Nelly chest tomb, located in the churchyard 3 metres southeast of the tower of the Church of Saint Peter, is a chest tomb from the late 17th century. It is made of Doulting stone, with its base buried. The tomb features plain slab sides and a very thick flat top that has plain angle coving. It commemorates John Nelly, who died in 1677.
